Heigh ho, heigh ho, it’s off to the panto we go!

Christmas just wouldn’t be Christmas without a good panto and this year we are spoilt for choice with Snow White, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and Jack and the Beanstalk all coming to Wirral. Oh yes they are!

Former Brookside star Claire Sweeney will be playing the dastardly Wicked Queen in SNOW WHITE & THE SEVEN DWARFS at the Floral Pavilion. The Liverpudlian actress will be joined on stage by Luke Walsh (Rock of Ages), Sean Jones (Blood Brothers), Philip Meeks, Naomi Gisbey, Hoylake School of Dance - and not forgetting the seven dwarfs! Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all? Find out for yourself between Sat 7 Dec and Sun 5 Jan (tickets from £16.25 to £25.75). WIN A FAMILY TICKET in our competition below!

There is plenty of choice for panto-lovers this Christmas with three other festive family favourites to look forward to:
  • ALADDIN rubbed his magic lamp and his wishes have come true - he's coming to the Gladstone Theatre this Christmas! Ryan Towart (CBeebies), Darren John Langford (Hollyoaks, Emmerdale) and Maria Ellinas (The X Factor), will take you on a magic carpet ride you won’t forget! The Arabian adventure runs between Sat 14 Dec and Tue 31 Dec with tickets from £13.
  • Fee-fi-fo-fum... The brilliant Carlton Players present JACK AND THE BEANSTALK at one of Birkenhead’s best kept secrets, Carlton Little Theatre. Expect magic beans, golden eggs and a grumpy giant. The show runs from Fri 20 - Sun 22 Dec with tickets £9/£7.
  • In January Wirral Community Theatre will be performing BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. Join the talented cast for a 'tale as old as time' at Westbourne Hall in West Kirby between Fri 10 and Sun 12 January. Tickets are £7/£6
