Residents are invited to have their say on Cool Wirral Partnership's new strategy to ensure Wirral plays its part in the global effort to tackle climate change.
Developed via the Cool Wirral Partnership, the strategy was created in reaction to the latest scientific evidence.
As part of wider efforts to tackle climate change, globally, nationally and locally, the new strategy, Cool 2, calls on all with an interest in Wirral to have their say on the strategy and develop an action plan in support.
Since declaring a climate emergency in July 2019, Wirral Council has committed to develop a Climate Emergency Action Plan.
Wirral is not starting from scratch when it comes to climate action, this new strategy, Cool 2, sets out a local response to the climate emergency that we are now facing, replacing and building upon the work of the existing strategy, Cool 2014-2019.
The variety of partner organisations within the Cool Wirral Partnership include Community Action Wirral, Magenta Living, Merseyside Police, Merseytravel and Wirral Environmental Network. This strategy has been drawn from various public consultation activities.
The closing date of this consultation is Monday 7 October.
