More testing is being made available to Wirral residents this week with a new Local Testing Site (LTS) set to open in Liscard today. (Wednesday 16 September).
Opening times will be:
2pm to 5pm on Wednesday 16 September
10am to 5pm on Thursday 17 September
8am to 8pm from Friday 18 September – seven days per week.
The site is being set-up at the car park of the Liscard Community Facility Complex, Egerton Grove, Liscard and users will be asked to self-swab when attending. All testing sites in Wirral are now appointment only.
This is in addition to the new LTS sites in Birkenhead and Bebington which have opened this month and are available to carry out tests seven days per week from 8am to 8pm.
LTS are self-testing centres staffed by private contractors and are a walk-through facility. People will need to walk or cycle to the testing site. They should not use public transport and should wear a face covering while travelling.
Arrangements have been put in place to manage visitors to the site, ensuring full social distancing and safety measures. If local businesses or residents have any questions or concerns they can email: firstname.lastname@example.org
The mobile coronavirus testing units are also walk through and available by appointment only this week at:
Tranmere Rovers Football Ground car park – Wednesday 16 September (10am to 3:30pm)
Europa Leisure Centre, Birkenhead - Thursday 17 September (10am to 3:30pm)
