Wirral Council is joining community safety partners across the borough in a week-long national awareness campaign about how anti-social behaviour is addressed in Wirral.
Roads, pavements and bridges in Wirral are set to benefit from nearly £6 million of improvements over the coming year as part of the council’s annual Highway Structural Maintenance Programme.
The consultation on the next set of areas where it is planned to reduce speed limits to 20mph is now live and residents are urged to take a look and complete the survey.
The first phase of the introduction of 20mph speed limits across Wirral is continuing with roads in parts of the Claughton and Oxton areas starting to see new signage and road markings.
‘Openspace’ will see police working alongside a range of partners to prevent serious violence and anti-social behaviour in key tourist hotspot areas, including West Kirby and New Brighton.
Following routine inspections, our tree team has found 11 trees in Arrowe Country Park with significant health issues and starting from April 11 2023 will need to remove them.
