Mayor's may change from year to year but one thing is always constant - each year the Mayor of Wirral's Charity Appeal raises thousands of pounds for good causes.
This year, the Mayor of Wirral, Cllr Ann McLachlan, has pledged to raise money for Wirral Food Bank, Incubabies, (a new charity established to expand intensive care for new born babies at Arrowe Park Hospital), and Merseyside Autistic Children's Society, (which supports families affected by autism).
As part of a busy 12-months of fundraising, events are held throughout the year, the latest being the Mayor's Charity Night, on Friday, February 23, from 7.30pm till late. Guests include Brian Murphy and Friends and Turnstone and friends. Why not get a group together and support the event? There's a bar, raffle, and dancing too. Tickets are £7 and can be obtained by calling 0151 691 8527.
