Avian flu zone (update)

There is still a high risk of avian influenza (bird flu) being present in wild birds in the UK and so across all of England, it is important that the keepers of poultry and captive birds take steps to keep them separate from contact with wild birds or their droppings.

The Prevention Zone measures are designed to help to do this. They also reduce the potential for any food or water that poultry use to become contaminated by wild birds.

Planned Prevention Zones in England from 28th February 2017
