One more award will be presented on the night – The Wirral Tourism Ambassador sponsored by Wirral Council, which will be given to the person or organisation that has shown dedication and commitment to service excellence in the tourism, leisure and hospitality industry over a period of several years.

Cllr Tony Jones, Wirral Council’s Tourism Champion, said: “With more than 500 nominations this year – a record number for the Wirral Tourism Awards - it’s clear that the local tourism sector has a lot to shout about.

“We were particularly pleased to receive so many first-time nominations, which demonstrates the vitality of the tourism sector and really bodes well for its future growth.”

Information about the glittering gala dinner, including how to buy tickets, is available online at or from the Floral Pavilion box office.
